Peter Terting SEAT + 2 Laps Not classified: Driver Make Laps O.Tielemans Alfa Romeo 7 Jorg Muller BMW 4 Interestingly, Muller's Race 1 win was the first ever WTCC victory for a diesel-powered car. Are we going to see a change in fortunes for diesel-engined cars in WTCC, much as we did at Le Mans these last couple of years? Or did the somewhat unorthodox nature of the race (first lap collisions eliminated quite a few cars) mean that this was just a one-off, and a truly competitive diesel car is still some way off? |

Muller's win was down to the safety car. Race 2 they used up their tyres and struggled. That was a huge shunt in race 1. |

We weren't really watching the races but we did watch the start of the first one. I had my hands over my eyes during the "biggie", which could have been so much worse
