I saw that on Eurosprout the other day (switched on the warm-up for no apparent reason). Looked very nasty, could have been far worse than a broken pelvis.

makes me wince and grit my teeth every time i see it.... <notlooking>

seems a bit morbid but thats one helluva good job done by his helmet and back protector.....the best and worst advert for his kit manufacturers...

a bit like everyone now knows how good arlen ness race leathers are after watching Shinya Nakano tumble down the mugello straight at over 200mph... <yikes> <no>

in the name of entertainment too!

<bow> <bow> <bow>

Jamie Witham broke his pelvis in on of his Moto GP escapades, I'd suggest if anything it's probably (in some ways) better than breaking a leg or arm, but better no breaks, obviously! I seem to recall a certain Mr Sheene took off at something like 180mph at Silverstone in similar circumstances which was what smashed his legs to bits. Never seen that crash, but I've seen the video of the operation to remove the pins holding his femur together - and that's bloody grim! One massive metal spike, removed from the inside of the bone by having somerthing fixed to the end of it and walloped by a hammer!! <sick>
