After plenty of discussion about how crap the Hungary track is today I thought it be interesting to do a vote on the tracks on the F1 calendar this way and see what order they all come in according to all of us Pit Lane folk. To keep things simple for me when it comes to adding the votes up put a 17 next the track that is the best, 16 for the second best, 15 for the third best and so on till you get down to 1 for the worse track on the calendar. Please make sure you put the numbers next to each track and just put the Country name rather. Then I will add up the points that each track gets and then we will see what order they come out in. Remember its the 2007 tracks we are rating. Here is mine Belgium- 17 points Turkey- 16 points Malaysia- 15 points Brazil- 14 points Monaco- 13 points Bahrain- 12 points Canada- 11 points USA- 10 points Italy- 9 points Japan- 8 points Britain- 7 points Australia- 6 points China- 5 points France- 4 points Europe(or Germany)- 3 points Hungary- 2 points Spain- 1 point Have Fun!!! |

Excellent idea DC19. Here's my picks: Belgium- 17 points Britain- 16 points Canada- 15 points Brazil- 14 points Australia- 13 points Japan- 12 points Turkey- 11 points Malaysia- 10 points China- 9 points France- 8 points Europe/Germany- 7 points Bahrain- 6 points Spain- 5 points Monaco- 4 points USA- 3 points Italy- 2 points Hungary- 1 point Can't stand Italy and Hungary. They should do the San mrino race instead. Hungary this year was just dreadful. I gave my highest scores to the races where overtaking, rain, or other form of race incident is a genuine possibility. |

Belgium - 17 Turkey - 16 Canada - 15 Malaysia - 14 Brazil - 13 Britain - 12 Bahrain - 11 Germany/Europe - 10 Australia - 9 China - 8 USA - 7 Japan - 6 Italy - 5 Spain - 4 France - 3 Monaco - 2 Hungary - 1 This takes into account my rating of the track layout and the races which take place there. Japan would be higher if this year's race is a good 'un. |

It looks like it, I personnally find the circuit very dull these days(it used to be alot better though), the fantastic tifosi atmosphere is the only thing that saves it. |

My opinions on Monzzzzzzza are well-known. Overtaking seems not to be allowed there. |

Monza is a good circuit with a lot of tradition and history, but it has suffered more than most from the current aerodynamic rules as slipstreaming isn't as common at the circuit anymore. It doesn't provide enough overtaking compared to what it is used to |

We may all hate the Tilkedromes for being dull, lacking character, having no elevation changes and being surrounded by forty-two square miles of asphalt run-off, but they do have the kind of layout necessary for encouraging overtaking (in theory). Even before the excessive aero started ruining overtaking in F1 (about 1998, I believe), it was extremely difficult to overtake at Monza. In the 1997 race, DC won because he was involved in a chain of about five cars that proceeded without overtaking for half the race before pitting, and McLaren refuelled his car fast enough. Then he led the chain until the end. |
