Such a shame Bourdais has decided to go to Torro Rosso next year. :(

So the finishing order was Bourdais from Clarke, Rahal, Servia, Tagliani, Heylen, Gommendy and Wilson.

I'll be interested to see him in F1. It'll be a new challenge for him, especially as he won't be fighting at the front. Besides, F1 needs French drivers; there are enough Brits and Germans, so why not Frenchmen?

Good point. Have there been any Frenchmen since Alain Prost? I can't think of any.

One thing which we were discussing earlier. Will the contract with Torro Rosso stop him racing at Le Mans?

There have been a few Frenchmen since Prost, but the only one to have lasted any time at all was Olivier Panis. The last French driver was Franck Montagny last year, but he only competed in four races.

As for Le Mans, I can't recall any drivers in recent years who have been able to compete in any competitions outside of F1. My guess would be that Bourdais will have to abandon his Le Mans ambitions, particularly as it usually falls on or around the Canadian GP weekend.

You are, of course, 100% correct!

Because the promising ones get beaten by Brits? Premat for example? I wouldn't say there is a lot of French up and coming talent on show. Doubt there is any other reason for it...
