Do Ferrari need to appeal anymore? McLaren were give a suspended sentence for the MC incident, and I'm suusming told to keep their nose clean. Couldn't today's quali "situation" be seen as bringing the sport into disrepute? If Alonso was told to say in the pit box, wouldn't that be team orders affecting the outcome? If Alonso acted alone, how many "rogue employees" does McLaren have? Just a few thoughts, some will consider this Marmite and trolling, but if you really think you will see my point. This is a tangled web.... |

But thanks to Ferrari's appeal the original punishment won't stand until it's confirmed by the appeal surely? |

I don't know. I was just trying to be silly/serious. Could Ferrari ask the FIA to drop the appeal? |

Of course. Ferrari can ask the FIA for anything they want. |

Ah but note I didn't say they would get whatever they wanted. |

Can they drop the appeal? Yep definitely Will they drop the appeal? Definitely not. As long as there is some political point-scoring to be done then Ferrari will make sure they take advantage. I'm sure any other team would also do the same as it seems the off-track battle is just as important as the on-track battle these days |

More important I'd say. |
