Autosport.com - Hamilton gets privileged parking space

Lewis Hamilton may be embroiled in a tense championship battle, but his life has been made a touch easier away from the track - he will never have to fight for a car park at his local supermarket again.

The ASDA supermarket in Stevenage, near Hamilton's home town of Tewis, has allocated a spot for the McLaren rookie right outside the front door.

The privileged spot comes complete with a name plaque, a picture of a Formula One car, and the initials 'LH'.

And there was me thinking that the closest spaces were only reserved for disabled and young children - they may hope that Lewis doesn't take a liking to some of Tesco's new offers!

Honestly. Do they think

A Lewis is likely on his money to a shop in bl**dy ASDA

B Lewis on his money is likely to live in the UK much longer.

What a pointless exercise in promotion for ASDA to get a mention....

And I have never seen Lewis walking through the paddock smacking his own arse to hear the loose change!

Hamilton's brother is disabled, isn't he? I'm sure he will appreciate the thought, although countless other disabled shoppers probably won't...

Just think about it - a disabled man who is paralysed from the waist down pulls up into a parking space at the front of ASDA in a DLA Ford Fiesta car that he had to fight to get. As he is just hoisting himself into his wheelchair Lewis pulls up alongside him into his own personal space in a rather expensive Mercedes Benz looking fit as a fiddle after a session in the gym

How bad would the disabled man feel?

A two-point gap after ten races? Sounds like a real arse-kicking to me....<think>
