Good result from Kubica at what he considers to be his 'home' race. And not bad from Vettel on his STR debut. But we are better waiting until second practice to see how it turns out |

Practice 1, people, often misleading. Look how high up Honda are! That can't be right, really. |

Would be nice to know the running specs for the Toro Roso drivers. Is Seb really that much faster? |

BMWs used the super softs, don't think Ferrari or Mclaren did. Never any point reading anything into these times, as I always say, because they are utterly meaningless. |

Well, with enough fuel to get back to the pits after a single lap, maybe.....

'That much'? It's only a tenth. And the Hondas will be somewhere between 12th and 18th in quali tomorrow, their car is not good enough to get any higher. So they are in a false position at the moment, as are the Renaults. They never go all out for fast laps in practice. |

As are Redbull, Webber had to stop again and DC did a long run at the end of the session unlike the others who went for low fuel. I think BMW's position is a bit false, as someone said they used super soft tyres for those times and before that they were 5th and 6th. Where they usually are |

Well considering Button did pretty well in 'practice' last time round I'd say it is signs of consistent progress. If anything it's the qualification session that they struggle in, Button has started to put in some gritty race performances. The last one lasted only a lap or so, but he managed to pass about 15 cars with an apparently overflowing tank before a river fell on him. Expect to see them do well in the race even if they don't qualify so good. |

Thats because most of them went into the pits and went off the track |
