With the Stepneygate saga getting bigger and messier, which of the top 2 teams will come out of this with the most creditability? Can they both save their name, possibly at the expense of the other? |

I've said neither. The reputation of both teams have suffered, and will continue to suffer, as a result of the shenanigans

The damage has already been done, and both teams will suffer for it, so I've also said neither <unsure> |

Mclaren will come out with more credibility. Ferrari seem to be to interested in winning in the courts than on the track. |

The problem with F1 is that the rules are so complexe and therefore easy to bend (like a floor or a wing) that all teams more or less lose credibility. |

I agree that McLaren will probably come out better than ferrari, but only very marginally, and both will lose overall, so I've actually voted neither. |

Neither. Ferrari are intent on dragging McLaren's name through the mud, and are tarnishing their own reputation in the process. It seems to be the case that Ferrari do not care how much damage they do to their own name, as long as they can bring McLaren down to their level. |

So is it going to be a case of 'If I'm going down, you're going down with me'? |

It seems curious. Ferrari were in no danger of having their name tarnished until they blew this whole scenario totally out of proportion. I think the desire to get one over McLaren maybe usurped common sense in a few Ferrari board meetings. |

I'd say, more than the teams, its the F.I.A. that'll end up losing most credibility, thats if they had any to begin with

I don't know, the WMSC has acted above reproach and has made clear and correct decisions. The only person that has disgraced himself at the FIA is Max mosley, with his unfounded and ill-informed calls for an apeal (which was of course granted because he is the boss), and the ACI-CSAI isn't looking too sharp either. Even Bernie Ecclestone was calling for no appeal, and if anyone knows the inside track, it'll be him. |

I voted neither because I don't see why either has to lose creditability. Ferrari think they were wronged in a very bad way, so naturally they are going after the group they feel wronged them. They may be a bit over zealous, and taking some of the anger toward Nigel out on McLaren, but I can still understand their view point. Basically they are acting the same way the vast majority of people would in their situation. News flash, Ferrari is run by humans. McLaren have at least one bad apple in the bunch, and I think a few others made mistakes. If they will come out and be completely honest with the whole debacle and admit exactly what they knew and when, I don't see why they should lose any creditability. Naturally McLaren is going to be very cautious about what they say to whom, in order to minimize any impact to their team goals. Basically they are acting the same way the vast majority of people would in their situation. News flash, McLaren is run by humans. |

Neither, although I doubt it will affect matters like sponsorship and so on. Rob, to avid F1 fans, maybe not, but to anyone who has just started watching F1, ie. Hamilton followers for example, seeing Ferrari and Mclaren arguing largely to the media is not going to look good. |
