Nicola Larini has criticised the actions of Rickard Rydell after the Swedish driver snatched victory from his teammate on the final lap at Anderstorp.

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/61219

Larini and teammate Alain Menu had dominated the race on wet tyres, but the track was rapidly drying throughout the race. Towards the end, Rydell - on dry tyres - carved his way through the field and passed the leading pair on the final lap to win the race. It was a great result for the spectators, but Larini is not happy.

I would personally suggest that Larini concentrate more on keeping errant cars behind him next time, rather than whingeing about losing the race to the media. We saw in the DTM this weekend that overplaying the "team loyalty" card can lead to tainted results, so I think it's good that Rydell decided to take the win for himself. He deserved it.

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Maybe he's not tough enough to be racing in a touring car championship.

He's been in WTCC for long enough, but hasn't won a race for about four years. He's a competent enough driver, but it's a shame that competent drivers seem to ruin their image by moaning about race results to the media. We, as motorsport fans, want to see on-track action, and even if one team is dominating (as happened at Anderstorp), that doesn't mean that we should be denied a good race.
