Keep hearing that current AMA champ, Ben Spries is planning a move to Moto next season. Any ideas where he might be able to go? |

Spies used to be pretty uninterested in MotoGP, but he's changed his tune. He's probably more talented than Nicky Hayden the last AMA champion to move over, having beaten Mat Mladin on the same bike to the AMA title. Suzuki is almost certainly the most logical place for him to go, but as I understand it they've got Capirossi in the bag, at least according to Toby Moody so there is no space there. He seems a perfect candidate for the proposed Schwantz-Aspar Suzuki team in 2009, if he's willing to wait another year. Other than that I guess you can chuck him in with the other riders like Toseland who could be at any one of three or four teams. |

Ben Spies is in the bag for suzuki 2008... and it seems that current boss paul denning is out @ the end of this season and the legend Kevin Schwantz will take his place.... could be good, could be bad ... as long as the results keep improving..

Why is Paul Denning being punished for Suzuki's best year in ages? |

not being punished, its just his contract is up..... he might be retained as moto gp manager, its just that there are strong rumours about this change.... |

It would be a pretty big mistake. Schwantz as the "figurehead" of the team, it's public face is a very good idea, but does he know how to run a team? Better to let him run his second Suzuki squad in 09 and see how he does. Perhaps Suzuki aren't happy that Denning lost Hopkins though. |

i'm not so sure that losing hopper is a bad thing.... as much as he is talented, only one podium so far..... and his much less experienced team mate has a win, a second and a third... i think the parting of ways will be good for both concerned and if denning can land loris, IMO suzuki will be well chuffed...as you say, let schwantz run the 2009 satellite squad to get experience at least and then move him to the full-on factory job....he will end up there anyway, may as well give him some training....
