http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/60608 It's official, but there is no word as to whether it will be as well as or instead of Laguna Seca. Tony George is going for the full set! |

So, they will probably run it anti-clockwise. That would help the problem of exiting onto the ova (F1 turn 14?) at very high speeds. They're also be other changes I suspect. |

Good news to see MotoGP at one of the world's most famous circuits. And it will be interesting to see the MotoGP bikes going the opposite direction to the F1 crowds on the road course - surely this will make Indy one of the few tracks in the world that can be run in both directions? |

How will it make a difference? They will be going at high speed whichever way they go around it. |

Check the track map. The clockwise run up to the wall is long enough to reach top speed. Going the other way you have two short curves and no straights. I also think they'll introduce a chicane at the end of the straight to slow the field down. |

You'd have the pit straight though, which is pretty lengthy. I'm surprised they are going there, it doesn't seem a good place to hold a motorbike race. |

True, not much of a bike course. But, that long straight could use a chicane before the long curve. |

I would have thought Indy would have been too dangerous for a moto GP race even if they are going anti-clockwise.. If a Rider crashes on the straight and hits the wall surely they will have a very nasty injury or worse. |

Those are my thoughts exactly. However, I'll wait for the course layout, I suspect some mods to the straight and to the first curve, the long curve that's part of the oval. |
