As parking spaces seem to get tighter, or the cars are just getting wider, i tend to park away from the crowd who huddle their cars at the entrance to the supermarket, cinema or whatever place it is that i've gone to.
It seems odd people battle for a spot as close to the entrance as possible and then spend hours walking around aimlessly window shopping <dunce>
The reason for my action is the number of times i've returned to my car to find a minor dent from some fat ass who swings their door into my bodywork, or backs up a bit to far and cracks the paint on the bumper or the worst one who wrecked the front corner passenger side of my previous car and drove off.

I thought i had found the answer by parking in the empty part of the car park. But not so, no matter how far i park away from others, nearly always i return to find i have a car parked a few inches from my drivers door when there are at least 10 empty spaces either side of me. Once i even had to wait for one of the morons who parked either side of me to come back as they both parked so close i couldnt open the either drivers door or passenger door wide enough for a skinny model to get in. One had gone to the trouble of reversing their car in so their passenger side was the one blocking me from opening the door on that side.
Three cars in the middle of nowhere with the middle one, mine, unable to open its doors wide enough to get in.
WHAT IS THIS PIGLET MENTALITY THAT PEOPLE HAVE TO PARK NEXT TO ANOTHER CAR EVEN WHEN ITS MILES AWAY FROM ANY OTHER?????
