Remember the Lamborghini LM002. It was an unusual car for a sports car b uilder to produce but they made it anyway. Anyone else know of any cars that don't seem to fit the manufacture's image but they produced anyway, like the ferrari saloon, etc.

The LM-002 was great, and way ahead of the Hummer H1, I remember having Top Trumps with concept cars and the LM concept had no doors and was called the Cheeta.

I guess the Issetta was an odd car to carry the BMW roundal... <think>

Bugatti to built the Veyron was a shock esp when they were losing alot of money to do so.

The new Audi R9 is another car i thought would not see the light of day.

Porsche building the ugly Cayenne?

Zonda coming out of no where to challenge Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini.

Ford updating the GT40 <thumbsup>

And the Radical looks like an open top Le Mans car.

But the storm and the radical are not unusual for the manufacturer which I took to be the question...

The Porsche 4x4 is something I never thought they would produce as is their forthcomming 4 door...

There is this whole new 'cross-over' vehicle sector being created which is odd....

Take the Mercedes R-Class... this is an odd beast, they already have 3 different 4x4 models in the ML, GL and G-wagon and they have luxury saloons E, CLS and S-class so why the need for the R-class <think>

True that is the question, I think we flew off at a tangent.

What was the name of that Ferrari saloon? I can't remember.

I don't recall a Ferrari saloon as in 4 door, but there are some proper 4 seaters like the 400i and the 456 GT

That was my thought John.... A BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Lexus, Cadallac, etc.. 4x4 SUV???
Never thought I would see the day, and now that it's come, I wish I hadn't. :(

That's a concept, the road car was the 400i which retained the four seat layout but with only 2 doors...
