GB made history today with it's win on home soil in the Sprint at Brands Hatch. To date, the closest to come to an at home victory were Czech Republic with their 2nd placing in the Bruno Feature Race, and New Zealand with their 3rd placings in both the Sprint and Feature races in Taupo. GB's results today, in the final A1 GP race of the season, also nearly clinched then 2nd place in the championship, coming within 1 point of New Zealand, who have held the position for most of the season behind the dominating German team, who convincingly won the championship with 128 points - 35 points clear of NZ. |

I haven't been able to follow the series very well since March, so I'm not sure, but I believe that Loic Duval has not been in the car for the last few races. |

I meant in comparison to last season. It can't be the drivers because Lewis Hamilton showed that Alex Premat is nothing special, and Nicolas Lapierre hasn't set GP2 alight either. |

Ahhh! Once again, I'm not totally sure on my facts, but I seem to recall something at the beginning of the season meantioning that the engineering team who had worked for Team France (and maybe Team Switzerland ??) last year, had transferred to working for......Team Germany and Team NZ this year.

And I can say "I was there when GB became the first nation to win their home race at A1GP!" Damn, that was good! |

In the Hailwoods grandstand, coming out of Paddock Hill Bend and then up the hill. Got a good view of Graham Hill Bend (is it?) as well. Will post some pictures when I get home. Whereabouts were you, someone? |
