That's what I figured. Or a very heavy car, something a Paxo isn't.... I guess looking at the cars in question, it's very short gearing given the apparent nature of the track!

Think sprint cars in the US, they have insane amounts of horse power (not sure of an exact figure but I've heard of over 500) but only have a couple of gears that are very low so they can powerslide for 100 yards round the bends.

I'm pretty sure they've kept it short-geared for maximum acceleration. I'm figuring 0-60 in about 3.5 seconds...

who needs more than 140mph anyway ? i wouldn't build it to tailgate Audi S8's on the autobahns !! :D

i'm hoping that the devonshire countryside where i'll be living will be relatively chav free, so i can go enjoy the backroads in peace.

or maybe you'll be the start of the trend, and will be known forever as the bloke who brought the chavs to devonshire? <think> <yikes>

Noooooooo !!!!!!!!!

I promise no furry dice, no plastic bodykits, no tin can exhaust and no boom-boom speakers !

I was in Watkins Glen for a GTP race and there was a Sprint car race on the tele at the Seneca Lodge (anyone ever been there?). The sportscar racers in the bar couldn't get enough of that stuff.

The dirt sprint cars in our "neck of the wood" use small block chevy V8s with about 450 HP. Two gears and downshift into the turns for the power slide. The rookies take their foot out of it and over the outside berm they go. Wicked dad!

It looks scary when them things crash. They just barrel roll, occasionally spitting out the driver.

Are these the 'World of Outlaws' thingies with insanely oversized spoilers on top that roll about three million times if they get out of control?
