Stealing a couple of examples found by Norbert, I think they deserve a thread of their own.

Unbelievable BMW X5 with 700hp, requiring legend Hans Stuck to wheel it.

http://videos.streetfire.net/search/x5/0/5...91f288808eb.htm

Also nuts Skyline with a 1,000hp and equally nuts driver

http://videos.streetfire.net/search/jun/0/...8e6018139bd.htm

Here's a couple of my favourites, a VW Camper and a Vauxhall Victor

Depends what you class as a modified car. Technically, a car with a new bonnet has been modified...

I knew someone back in luton who had an exact replica of the Honda S2000 from the fast and the furious - it was beautiful!

there's no restrictions to the definition here

if a car with a new bonnet is the best modified car you've seen then show it ! :D

I prefer cars which aren't tampered with.

My phishgaurd anti-spyware warned against that site, you should delete it from the thread.

On topic, most moded cars are a pile of crap that would have had the money better spent on a better car in the first place.
(see the thread that spawned this one)
The good ones like the X5 with V12 engine are for the idle rich and as about as accessible as a top of the range Ferrari.

Now that's interesting - since that's MY website, and it certainly isn't phishing... oh and it also doesn't have spyware unless someone from Freewebs is mucking around. Could you e-mail me exactly what it does say please.

What are you trying to say ?

I mean we all know that Enzo hated building cars for the road, knowing they were mainly for the idle rich, but justified it because it fuelled his passion for racing.

Trash all Ferrari's, is that your point ?

In the end I completely disagree, people crazy enough to build the best modified cars are typically genuine enthusiasts who find the off-the-shelf stuff built for profit by corporations just a little too dull.

Ah, my guess is that it's the freewebs log in. it's harmless and you don't have to log in to view the site. Just odd.

you read more into that quote than i ever thought the quote could possibly relate too. <yikes>

But to elaborate on my point, it is the idle rich conversions that are a treat to see but they are as rare as rocking horse ....., i would love to have that x5 conversion, the car looks exactly like an x5 until you start the engine.
The 'chavs are us' with bean tin exhausts and ironing board spoilers are the ones i dont relate to, they should be crushed on sight as they can never aspire to the dreams the owner thinks it can be.
How many of of these crap corsa's with road rattling exhaust systems and in car hi-fi's that shatter eardrums gets the thumbs up from you?
The majority of conversions are a joke, they get soundly beaten on the road by someone who probably spent less money on their normal road car than the bean tin spent on his conversions and all they have acheived is stressing themselves out by:

1. spending good money on dodgey parts
2. spending lots of time doing a conversion that only they seem to like
3. get wasted when they try it on with a real car with power (or even a basic car)
4. drive in a noisy car that can only make every trip a reason asprin will never go out of business.
