In my own car...it's still accelerating at the end of a runway straight at 95....it's not the quickest!

In other car's (eg BMW) - no comment!

I decided the best thing to do was not too listen to any advice from the instructors and just blast round the tracks really fast

it was a great day though, you get too go in a decent amount of cars

loads of fun

Obviously anything over the speed limit must have happened in Germany ! I'll start, knowing full well that it's all unprovable, but what did the speedo say. Interesting background stories appreciated !

143mph - Subaru Impreza in Belgium, Germany on the way to Spa. Got overtaken by woman on her phone driving a Merc. <blink>
138mph - Lotus Esprit turbo on the M20, Germany, friends car. Had to back off due to it snowing. <clap>
135mph - Porsche 911 SC in France, Germany, friends car on the way back from Le Mans. :D

This is true and U4COFFEE will back me up .... The speedometer read on my 90BHP Diesel Vauxhall Cavalier ....

wait for it .....

.......

140mph!

Admittedly i had just started it up and we were still sitting on my driveway at the time, but it is indeed true, the speedo read 140mph! No trickery was used getting it to read this, just bad electrics, bad suspension, a horrible gear box ... a the list could go on!

I've also managed 290mph down the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans (pre chicane) in a slightly tuned Nissan 350Z. Well, ok, a 900+ bhp one with nitrous in GT4... I guess that doesn't count, nor 1400kmh in the Pike's Peak Escudo in GT3?

Did you do that thing that makes the cars nose lift up? It's well weird when that happens.

Best I could get on GT4 was 350MPH in the group C Merc.
