John, the truth is that there are no national automotive products, only international products. I have a BMW built in South Carolina, a Mercedes built in Alabama, an RX 8 built in Japan, a Ford truck built in Canada, and parts on each built all over the world. My neighbor's Nissan was built in Mississippi, and his Honda was built in Ohio. As far as national pride goes, it has gone international. Also, I don't care about scoring debating points, and I'm not petty nor shallow. Give me the benefit of the doubt. OK? However, like yourself, I do like to stimulate the troops with a provacative commment now and again. I often argue against the trend, even though I'm probably in agreement. Let the protagonist convince me of his truth, and from that comes respect. No? |

I don't know, Tonka toys are known to pick up a fair amount of speed when pushed down the stairs! |

The 'Tonka' toy styling is what will attract some buyers who will want a car that looks tuff or macho... I've see a couple on the road and the high waste and low glass sides look a bit odd... IMO. Dodge have admitted the build quality is no good enough for European tastes... yet... but hope value for money will sell the car until build quality improves... Refreshingly open for a car Company to admit this on a car they have just released to a new market... but I will wait for a better screwed together Dodge to arrive before I would consider owning one. |
