It's 20% more than there was before!

So you are saying...

20% British owned is enough to be classed as a British Car Industry but 100% owned (ala Morgan) but selling 3,000 fewer cars a year is not... <think>

fine... just so I know. <thumbs>

jolly good.

thing is though it's all in the name.

Aston Martin is known around the world in the same way as Ferrari is.

Morgan... probably not as well known.

Well I have a thing for BMW...

but should I ever be in a position to be able to buy one... I would have an Aston (after I got my Z8 first)

The problem would be which one.... The NR24 I guess would do nicely <clap>

Well despite all the "have a go at the Ford ownership" opinions. Aston Martin is currently healthier then it ever has been under Ford's stewardship. I doubt there's many companies that could proclaim to have such a desirable line up of vehicles at the moment.

The whole reason behind Ford's decision to sell Aston when everyone thought they were going to offload Jaguar (in a whole heap of trouble) was purely because it is a success and it's much easier to sell and get a good price for a successful business than one that is on life support so to speak.

I hope Astons good fortune continues but the consortium is by no means getting a manufacturer that needs major work to turn it around.
