If Hamilton and Button start having success therefore gathering more interest in F1 in Britain through TV figures and other media, merchanside sales etc is there a chance that the importance of the British GP could be raised therefore making if more important that it takes place.

There will always be talk of the British GP going and doubt over it but I just can never see it happening tbh, I am confident that common sense will prevail even with Bernie in charge and with more British drivers on the grid even more so.

Bernie has wanted the GP axed for years and it has still stayed regardless, I am sure it can cope with the next storm.

It does seem to be the mantra of a certain poison Dwarf "The British GP is not safe"

if bernie has an axe to grind it is about the quality of the facilities. with other countries falling over themselves to host gp's and building world class tracks, bernie has the luxury of choice and silverstone has to work harder to keep its place, as bernie keeps reminding them.

unfortunately the drivers barely enter the equation. also unfortunately our government doesn't think like the leaders of other countries in terms of the revenue and prestige the gp brings to a hosting nation.
