Suitors line up to replace Fisi The suitors are reportedly lining up to replace Giancarlo Fisichella at Renault next season. Even Ecclestone's been in on the debate, saying Ralf Schumacher would be "the right fit" for the team. Fisichella has reportedly been told by Renault boss Flavio Briatore that he will be shown the door unless he wins a set number of grands prix this season. Although that figure has not been made public, it is thought anything less than four wins will bring his Renault stint to an end. |

Ralf? You may as well stick with Fisi if you're thinking about signing Ralf. Let's remember Ralf is in his last year of his contract with Toyota and his seat isn't very secure. Everyone seems to be putting Piquet Jnr in the second seat at Renault for 2008 so looks like both Fisi and Ralf could be out of a job by the end of the season |

Ecclestone has lost the plot. Ralph is a "perfect fit" for a bath chair, not an F1 car with pretensions on the championship. With Flavio as team boss I can think of a whole list of people he'd rather have than Ralph. Piquet Jr ? Webber? .. Sato? |

I think however well Fisi does he will get the boot at the end of the season. However don't just expect Piquet jnr to take the seat as there are a whole host of good drivers out there at the moment. Although the thought of ralf going to renault is laughable, do you really see Flavio agreeing to his wages? roflmao roflmao roflmao |

Is Ecclestone that desperate to keep a Schumacher in F1?

typical ecclestome meddling. my gran can drive better than ralf, and so can her goldfish. piquet seems to have the speed, though you're never sure, but two relatively green drivers would be a big gamble. heikki and.... jeez it's hard to spot an experienced, top class driver who'd move... webber would need to beat dc to be the guy, heidfeld is probably pretty happy where he is. thought i'd never say it... bring back schumacher !! damn i'm missing the sonovabitch already

roflmao The cynical part of me thinks this might be the reason Ferrari have given Schumi a position without description in the team. They wanted to pre-empt him feeling the urge again and joining some other team
