Theissen: BMW only behind Ferrari, McLaren Mario Theissen is confident that only Ferrari and McLaren are ahead of BMW going in to Australia on March 18. Does his statement truly reflect how pre-season testing has went or are Renault and Honda going to be above the German team come Australia? |

Renault certainly picked up the pace over the last week of testing, although I'm still unconvinced about Honda. I think BMW will be third or fourth come Australia, but I don't think it's as clear-cut as Thiessen makes it out to be. Of course, he's in the know and knows a hell of a lot more than us! |

(Paul, you are nicking all my topics roflmao ) Yes, I think Super Mario is right, BMW are definitely in third spot and possibly pushing the mclaren and Ferrari. This seems to be the clear pattern. However that is on pace when it comes to the reliability of the BMW it is absolutely woeful and are probably bottom alongside the main Red Bull team on this front. |

I agree with Red Andy, when both Renalt drivers were able to post very quick times at Bahrain, and with recent history in their favour I think they'll put up a pretty strong challenge in Melbourne, though I am sure both championships are beyond their reach. I think Renault and BMW will be scrapping for the best of the rest slot, and Renault will come out on top. Well, it's time to put all this theorising into the F1 predictions league... |
