Raikkonen happy but cautious

"Kimi Raikkonen remains cautious about Ferrari's form ahead of the start of the season despite the Italian squad setting the pace during the final preseason test in Bahrain."

This line really confused me:

"I think the new car is very good," said Raikkonen at the end of testing in Bahrain. "It seems to look OK here at least.

If I were Kimi I would be shouting from the roof tops. Ferrari have looked very strong in pre-season and surely he should be a bit more confident than that. Or could it be Massa's pre-season pace that could be worrying him more than the pace of the Ferrari?

If he did that and Ferrari didn't realise their potential in Melbourne then he would look pretty stupid, I think he is right to keep things cool and wait and see what happens unlike his team mate who thinks Ferrari are well on top and thinks that he is now in charge of whole team. I hope Kimi gives him a wake-up call.

We all saw what happened to Honda after they won pre-season testing.

His comments kind of remind how MS would talk about things, even after wins he'd remain cautious and talk about the potential threat from other teams. I think it's the right way to be... no egg on face...

Raikkonen I think has showed Massa what SHOULD be said. Massa seems like a young kid, in that he is desperate to boast about his team's supposed advantage. THat means he has to obliterate the whole field in Melbourne otherwise people will never take him seriously.

It is only Bahrain where Ferrari have had a clear advantage, so Kimi's comments actually make sense.
