We often talk about Spa, Suzuka(RIP) and Monaco and now Turkey being our fav F1 circuits but which other ones are also very good but never get a look in in our top 3 or 4? For me I think Canada and Brazil are both great circuits, maybe not the most exciting in layout but things always seem to happen when we go to these two circuits. But I think the most underrated track is Malaysia, for some reason Tilke has never received praise for this track and I don't know why, I think it is a fantastic circuit and we have had some great racing here in the past, also the heat, humidity and threat of heavy rain adds a couple of tough elements in. |

well i'll go for indy because it has the perfect overtaking inducing set-up, with a slow corner leading into a series of flat out corners and a looooooong straight into a wiiiiide sharp corner at the end. the rest of the wiggly bits are all very scalextric, but at least ensures the correct aero set-up isn't obvious. i'm also glad it has a fearsome corner 13, though that sounds like it might go on the grounds of the drivers all turning into baby girls. I also like Malaysia for the long straight into the final hairpin, also good for overtaking. |

Malaysia and dare I say it, before the last 2 corners were ruined, Catalunya. It is a good track made tediuous because of the testing that went there. Drivers know it so they make no errors. Easy. |

I really like the nurburgring most years we get excellent races there like 1999, 2005 etc.... its a much better track than its given credit for with a nice mix and alot of flowing corners. |

Melbourne and Brazil. Both tend to provide very good racing (more so, in my view, than Monza and Silverstone), but don't get the credit for it. |

The main reason for the general opinion is that it is next to the Nordschleife. Anything would have been nowhere near as good or challenging. It's not a bad circuit but it's not a very inspiring one. I think the new first sector has ruined the decent flow it had. |

I like the first sector. I recall when they re did it in 02 the the first few corners really caught a lot of drivers off. |

yeah I agree rob, I much prefer the 1st sector as it is now and also turn 1 is now a very interesting spot at the start and provides a good overtaking spot during the rest of the race. |

I like Melbourne, Sepang, Montreal, Shanghai and Interlagos. I like Melbourne because I feel it's a great place to start the season. Sepang was a fresh addition to the calendar in 1999 and has a good flow to the circuit. Montreal has given us some dramatic races over the years, Shanghai is similar to Sepang and Interlagos is almost unique on the calendar these days for being bumpy and anit-clockwise |

I agree with the Indianapolis track as being the most underrated for the same reasons as above. Remember the title of the thread, as circuits like Melbourne often take many plaudits, it would be hard to class them as underrated. |

I think Indy is somewhat underrated, especially considering that it has one of the longest full throtle runs in F1 and is pertty easy to pass there. |
