Nothing, Rob. I was just commenting on the fact it's happens with many team, not just Ferrari.

Didn't think you were attacking, just being funny. <thumbs>

I do know what you mean though. Many sports fans cheer player A when he is on team X, but if he goes to team Z, player A is automatically Captain Ahole.

This doesn't include the "fair-weather" fans who don't really support F1 but cheer on anyone from their country - they'd cheer a chicken driving if it was from their country.

Leave Scott Speed out of this!

:D <whistle>

I'd be waiting a bloody long time to support a driver or team for that matter if I had to wait for one with my nationallity....

and even then when one did come along.... and win.... they played the wrong national anthem...

<grrr>

What anthem would that be then John?

Jordan was supposedly an Irish team..... but when they lucked into a 1-2 finish.... to score their maiden win....

When the anthem(s) where played.... God save the queen.... not good. <no>

I know the team was based in Silverstone..... but BMW.Sauber is based in Switzerland.... but it will be the German Anthem they would play if they ever won.

I think it is mainly because a lot of people want him to fail. No idea why.

I really can't see any reason to dislike kimi, unless you are his mechanics. I hope he does well this year. He deserves him chance to silence the doubters.

Jordan is based at Silverstone, and therefore is registered as a British team, not Irish, if I understand correctly.

LOL.... don't think I didn't..... <grrr> ....

In later wins they did play Amhrán na bhFiann, but Fisi's win in the 2003 Brazilian GP was a day after they had wrongly awarded it to Kimi so again no Anthem played... so out of the 4 wins I think it was played twice.... <no>

I don't know about when they were still Jordan, but as Midland last season the team's base was still at Silverstone, but they were definitely registered as Russian then.

I think the officials at Spa where caught out.... no one expected Jordan to win that race and they probably thought they'd never need the Irish Anthem....

but shit happened.... and oops!!!!!!!!! Egg on face...
