Now MS is retired from driving, which driver will now have the most pressure on them to perform? Who will have to win as though winning comes as easy as taking part? IMO Alonso will have the most pressure as if he doesnt win regularly then his past two WDC will be thought to be more Renault inspired than driver inspired, whats your thoughts?

Raikkonen. He has to prove he's genuinely fast and not a car breaker, as some have alleged. |

I think Kimi is under the most pressure. Alonso is going to a team that really was not much of a threat last year, and lost so many people that they are still in transition. So anything he wins will be good. Kimi was the driver for Maca's lean years, and now he is stepping into the team that Shumi built. If Kimi fails to perform this year he may still win a WDC down the road, but any chance for "Legend" status will be poop. |

Raikkonen - The McLarens he has had in recent years have either been not quick enough or not reliable enough to deliver a world championship. He has still been regarded as a world class driver though. Now he has joined Ferrari he should have a car that is both fast and reliable enough to win the title. There will also be the undoubted comparisons to Schumacher. Webber - Webber has the reputation of somebody who may do something if he gets the chance in a decent car. For the first time in his career he has a teammate that has won races. If DC beats Webber people will doubt whether Webber can win races. |

yup, i'd go with kimi too. he not only has to galvanise a team - one of his predecessor's skills - he also has to blow massa away quickly to be sure of his status. also fisichella has to prove that he can step up to the plate... so expect to see him in a third rate team in 2008. rubens maybe. if he can't compete with jenson this year, then it wasn't the schumacher effect... |

As you are starting to question "The Schumacher Effect", could 2007 alter Schumacher's reputation? If Kimi blows Massa away and Rubens struugles to get on terms with Button again, won't that just give extra weight to the arguement that Schumacher never had top line teammates? |

Ralf and Jarno Let me explain….. Well all know that Jarno and Ralph have a reputation for being a pile of doggie doo doo and if they win a race then that reputation will be in tatters…….unless we say it was won purely on attrition….oh no we save that one for Button! roflmao |

Was that ever questioned? I don't see how Shumi could be damaged by this year. Pretty simple really, Shumi blew away Massa, if Kimi does as well, and by a similar margin, we can conclude that at the end of his career Shumi was at least as good as Kimi is in his prime (also applies to Button and Rubens). Now if Massa beats Kimi and Rubens happens to beat Button (as if) what will that then say about Shumi? |

I really don’t give a crap about the Chin anymore, he’s history and long may he remain there. There are too many factors to be able to draw any conclusions about the Chin from what happens this year….you know all about the Chaos theory don’t you? And not just the stuff you heard on Jurassic Park! |

yes, that'd be the implication... so maybe schumacher has the most to lose... and the most to win if rubens blows jb away and massa blasts kimi
