Did you ever think you would see the day where Jacques would back down on one of his statements and realise he was wrong?

He could save a lot of time by just retracting everything he says before he says it.

Let's see, JV talks crap about Button, Jenson then proceeds to kick JV's ass on the track. Am I the only one wondering why it took JV 4 years to retract his comments?

He was also quoted as saying: “I’ll respect Jenson once he goes quickly out on the racetrack.”

I'll say that I'll respect JV when he wins a WDC in anything other the dominant car with a crap teammate.

Maybe he had an upturn in talent, he was crap compared to JV in the 97 Williams.

I would respect Jenson if he won the championship in a dominant car and with crap team mate.

If it was good enough for Michael it's good enough for Jenson.

In 97 Frentzen had a very bad relationship with Patrick Head(he was scared like hell of him) and in those days if you had a bad relationship with Patrick Head you had no chance, the focus was on JV that year as a result.

Jacques said in an interview with F1 racing that Frentzen was treated very badly in 97.

Frentzen showed how good he was when he went to Jordan and came 3rd like you say.

He will go down as one of those wasted talents, I thought he was a very good driver.

Developing a really bad relationship with Patrick Head in your first year with Williams must have taken some work on HHF's part, not even JPM could do that.

We could go round on this for days, I will simply say that IMO, the 97 Williams drivers were the worst pairing ever to win a WCC.
