thats strange, I wonder why they have done it and what they are trying to acheive as I loved that long straight.

I really wish that these panic adjustments everywhere stop.

<doh> that's an old map. Those flatout kinks were removed 10 years ago. Where did you get that?

Both those images look wrong. Spain has a far longer back straight than that.

hmmmmmm they came from ITV as I was looking through the Sutton photos. The Title for them was 2007 Spainish Plan and 2007 Montreal Plan

They are from around 1994 I think. Both have proper back straights but to be honest even when Montreal had the kinks in the back straight it still gave a good chance for overtaking into the final chicane. Mansell showed in 1992 how not to do it but other drivers were more successful at it

And before the 1994 changes to Spain, the middle section of the lap was slightly different.

Paul, remember that that was when overtaking was hard rather than bloody difficult :D
