Mark needs to be careful at the moment and get his head down and stuck into the job. When Mark first came onto the scene I was amazed but at how well he started, he was brilliant for minardi, not just that first race but his qualifying performance after and in the race he often mixed it the teams ahead. Then at jaguar the year after some great quali laps and points to match. After first seeing Mark and FA start up I predicted that they could both be champions some day, one of them has gone in the direction I predicted and got 2 WDCs and Mark seems to have gone downhill in his career. I am sure Mark still has all this potential but it seems to be going at the moment and if he keeps on mouthing to the press and lets DC get the better of him a driver who came on the scene with bags of talent is going to end up going down the pan very early and there is a danger of him becoming one of the biggest wasted talents which would be a great shame. The guy is still young, if he works at it he can get there, this is a pivotal and very important year in his career. However obviously my backing will lie with DC but this is my unbiased opinion on Mark <thumbs> |

Oh, dear! This time I have to admit that ..... ..... even if what he says is true ..... ..... and it probably is ..... ..... it was probably better left unsaid ..... ..... the strong silent type ..... ..... instead of big dumb galoof ..... ..... but both can be endearing in their own way ..... |

When asked by autosport.com about how highly he rated Webber, Sir Frank Williams said: "Mark made a big step this year. "He is a very good driver. If he gets the opportunity I feel he will make a lot of it. I will be very happy for him. He is a straight guy; he doesn't come with fancy ideas about himself. He tells it how it is. He is a man's man. He is everything. I would recommend him to anybody. "But he has been unhappy this year. He has contained it very well, but we know him quite well. He has contained it pretty damn well, but he is a frustrated man." I think Mark's frustration containment leaked out when he saw the performance of the Red Bull. He was probably thinking "Oh no! Not again!". Let's hope for his sake that yesterday's testing times are not just low-fuel-good-tailwind publicity runs. |

Mark probably has all of his eggs in Red Bull's basket anyway. By the time he is free to change teams again wee puppies like Heikki, Lewis and Kubica will be pretty firmly established. Allowing for his age Mark would have to do something very very special to get a seat in a leading team then. |

Well our original GP2 graduates (Rosberg and Speed) didn't exactly set the world alight last year.... |

To be fair, they've not had the machinery to exactly set the world alight. I like Speed though and I'm glad he's got another year......despite being from the US he really wants to be in F1 and not IRL or Champ car (or even Nascar!!), and that's got to be respected..on some level! |

if you forget about the first couple of races and last couple of races, I thought speed was the better of the two TR drivers. |

Yeah, i reckon Speed has shown some promise, forgetting his penchant for accidents toward the beginning of the season. Liuzzi would probably have expected to come across more favourably than he did. Ps. Does a guy like Liuzzi count as ex GP2.......I know he was F3000 but it was the feeder series in its day? |
