De la Rosa explains what Alonso actually meant when he said the car was crap, and the only thing he liked about it was the colour... <think>

If Alonso wants more traction and power, maybe he should have stayed with Renault. <thumbs>

I gotta be honest. Overall Renault has been the class of the field the last 2 years. Hopefully that will change though <cool>

I really don’t get what Alonso is bitching about (if indeed he is), the McLaren has look fairly solid in winter testing, if he is the driver I think he is, he should not have any problems adapting to the McLaren.
You can take a driving great, put him in anything and he should wring the neck out of it. Put a Senna, Mansell, Prost or Schumacher (Michael) in a car and they will eclipse their team mates out of the box.
So far Alonso has not done that, and if all he is going to do (if the reports are true) is bitch and whine then maybe he should change his name to Mark Webber!

Perhaps Hamilton is just that good... <think>

Hamilton is a rookie, but he is closely associated with McLaren and knows where the strings are to pull. Alonso doesn't, yet, so until he's had a bit of time to settle with the team, he won't be able to get the full potential from either them or the car. In a little while, things will be more equal, and if he can't beat Hamilton, then he's in trouble, or Hamilton is extremely fast.... or both....

he is now claiming his words have been twisted by the media, and all he meant was that they are good, but more work needs to be done to win straight off the bat in Aussie...
