I think Piquet jnr has a great chance of joining renault in 2008 or 2009 at the latest now that he is in the testing role. Maybe there are some more hopefuls from GP2 who can make it the grade, maybe Conway, Bruno Senna or a couple who have been trying for a while such as Glock or Premat, mayube andretti could make it as well but he won't get a top driver straight away. And what about a couple of longshots, may Dan Wheldon consider F1 again if he continues his success in America or will we get the whole silly Rossi saga again if Ferrari feel like a publicity stunt. Who are your hopefuls? |

I forgot to mention Sebastion Bourdais, I think he would do well in F1 and I think F1 needs to have a Frenchman in the sport, also on that front maybe montagny may get a drive with toyota in 2008. |

All of the drivers you mentioned (minus Rossi), plus Nico Hulkenberg (very impressive in A1GP at the moment and in with a shout of an F1 drive sooner rather than later), and maybe Sebastian Vettel as well. I'd like to see Adam Carroll get himself an F1 drive, but seeing as he can't even find a seat in GP2 due to terminal lack of sponsorship I don't think that's very likely. |

I think he withdrew from the Honda program some time last year. |

I wish he could get a seat in F1. Since EJ left the scene in 2004 the only Irish interest in F1 has been Bob Bell who is technical director at Renault |

Yeah I read that Carroll withdrew himself from the Honda scheme because it was getting him nowhere, and James Rossiter was getting more testing jobs. I doubt Carroll will ever get to F1. |

I have similar doubts, which is a shame because he has a lot of talent. He did a good job in GP2 last year in a car that was, frankly, a pile of crap. |

Why are there no female drivers in F1? |

Although Bordais has done well in Champs Cars the Newman/Haas he drives is pretty much accepted as being the class of the field. I think Justin Wilson is a better driver. If you look at Wilson and A.J. Almendinger when they were both in the Ru-Sport team, Wilson was the better driver, yet when Almendinger moved to Forsyth, A.J. was much better than Bordais. Though not a rocket science measurement, I think it is safe to say that had Wilson been in the Forsyth car, he would have easily beat Bordais, and Wilson never set the F1 world alight. Sebastian Bordais is flattered by the car he drives and will struggle greatly in F1 IMO. |

They would have to plan the race calendar accordingly. Seriously. Why are there no female drivers, past, present or prospective? If anything, women should have a physical advantage on corners. I know some girls who can drive incredibly well and fast, yet absolutely no girls in F1. |

There have been two female drivers that I am aware of, Giovana Amati she drove during the time of pre-qualyfying and never managed to do so. The other (Lombardi I think) actualy scored points or a point, dc202 can google it for you. |

No one mentioned Graham Rahal. I think he has the talent to be in F1, and unlike Marco, isn't acting like a spoiled little b****. |
