wow - so many f1 snobs here!

Just when it comes to NASCAR.

Be much better if it was Penske offering the test (whole Marlboro thing).

Pretty much he said he isnt interested in the past so i dont see why he would change his mind about driving round in circles driving an updated road car.

What has the past got to do with it ?

Driving round in circles might be dull, driving around in circles at a 150mph with about 50 other maniacs who all want to put you in a wall is probably good for an adrenalin rush.

Before you knock NASCAR too much, just remember…..the lure of the mighty greenback prompts many to do what you least expect them.

Schu may say NASCAR is boring, but with the right financial package I am sure he will say “Oh no I never said that, I said “NASCAR is boring away at my mind with a desire to partake!”

You just have to look at the publicity Beckham has generated for soccer in America, imagine what the greatest living driver in F1 going to NASCAR would do for that series on a world stage.

Never say never.

Perhaps a driver exchange program. NASCAR can have Shumi and JPM for a season, and F1 gets Biffle and Jimmy Johnson.

Jimmy and Greg might ruffle a few feathers in F1 though because they might actually attempt to do something interesting, like errrr, overtake a car for example!

If there was a driver exchange programme, and the NASCAR bods had any sense, they'd just give Montoya straight back!

Penske and Marlboro in the US are like Ferrari and Marlboro in F1. Even though the name is not on the car, there is talk that they will not change their livery, much like Ferrari.

And I think Shumi would be more likely to say yes to a test in an open wheel IRL car.

Penske have recently announced that their IRL cars will also be sponsored by Kodak

and with that big chin of his, Schumi does not take a good picture! roflmao

Nothing wrong with thinking Nascar is boring, stradlin. Just because you like it doesn't mean everyone has to.

It looks extremely dangerous ,pitstop said there were 50 cars then no wonder there are so many bad crashes on that small a track you could see why it doesnt attract many big name stars.
