Could Webber win a WDC?; Where did he go wrong.

In last year's Brazilian GP there were no marbles on the track and tyres weren't degrading badly. (mainly due to the fact that you could change tyres of course).

The Malaysian GP completely different in this respect, Mark would have already noticed the lack of grip and marbles in that corner(where the incident happened) and by catching up with Fisi so quickly would have known that his tyres were going so he had to be aware of the risks of the position that he was taking if Fisi were to make a mistake which he did. Mark would been better off giving Fisi plenty of room and would have had him by turn 2.

It is just an incident, its easy to see what the drivers could have done when you have watched 50 replays.

He gave him plenty of room! Should drivers not race wheel to wheel just because some drivers make mistakes?

Malaysia 2005 was an unusual situation as it was the second race of the new tyre rule and it hit all tyres hard almost to point that that there was hardly any grip in that particular corner, when the conditions are like that you should be more aware.

I stick to my racing incident theory.

I feel Malaysia was a racing incident but an avoidable incident. It was obvious that Fisichella's tyres were finished and Webber should have let Fisi drift wide when he threw it up the inside, then cut back and took the position and both drivers could have continued. I feel that Webber's racecraft still has a lot to be desired and in a way he is arrogant like in Brazil 2004 where Klien was ahead of him in the race and he just threw it down the inside from a long way back like he had a God-given right to be infront, causing the two Jaguar's to crash and ruining their last-ever grand prix

But surely Fisi must have been aware his tires were going off and adjusted his driving style from there.

Webber did what racers do, he saw an opportunity and took it.

And Webber would have had to back off an awful lot to avoid the spinning Renault, which would have lost momentum, and given him less of a chance to pass because he would have been farther behind Fisi.

Sorry I just cannot agree with the racing issue theory, although I will agree that F1 drivers should be constantly on alert for Fisi to screw up.
