There has been none 202 me old china. I think one thing this subject has shown is that we can disagree without becoming personal.

The sour thing is an old wound, nothing to do with the topic, which will heal in time.

Myself I have enjoyed it, apart from my Montoya blunder!

I didn't say that about 2004. But what I can say is that behind Schumacher, there was no standout driver. If you think Alonso crashing at Monaco, spinning at Monza, starting at the back at Malaysia...Kimi being level with DC for the first half of the season...made them the top 2...did you watch that season?

Funnily enough I didn't see that season because of work and the results of the race always put me off watching the highlights.

Yeah I class it as the worst season I have ever watched.

Then how can you possibly comment about it?

I haven't made any reference to the racing of that year. All I have done is asked questions about how people interpret the data.

Are you suggesting that in 04 Jenson was BETTER than Alonso and Kimi. That's the best yet.

For example

I thought 2002 was worse. In 2004 there were at least some good races even if there was no championship battle.

I think in 2004 obviously MS was the standout driver but after him I thought it was Jenson who definitely got the most out of that season and the plaudits even if he couldn't quite manage a win which could easily have happened if trulli lost concentration at Monaco or if Button didn't move 10 places back on the grid in Germany.

I think in 2004 the only race he should have definitely won was Monza, I said something similar to this earlier in the thread.

I would say the midfield racing was far better in 2002 and of course who can forget Monaco that year, 2004 was very boring the cars had a far bigger divide that year although there was still a reasonable amount of overtaking.

I am sure many Ferrari fans enjoyed 2004, but I did not. I almost stopped watching, and decided not to attend the USGP because of the one sidedness.

I would agree with that, although I would say it was fairly unforgivable that he didn't win it; he should have known that once Barrichello had switched to dries he would be unstoppable, and I think that if he had pushed harder to begin with he could have kept the Ferraris behind him. I think he only has himself to blame for losing that one.

I think what made 2002 worse for me was what Ferrari did at Austria and Indy, that left a real sour taste in my mouth and ruined the season for me.

At least there was none of that in 2004.

To be honest i didnt really care ferrari were so much better than the oppositin they could do what they wanted in the end they both got a win each out of the team orders.
