but then that line of though is moot when you consider the fact that Toyota know very little about Formula 1! |

I think if you consider Honda are hardly new to motorsport or F1 then you can respect the decisions they make. They've been a fully fledged F1 team a lot less time than Toyota but far more succesful despite a mid season slump. |

I said race peformances Viki in qualifying Shumi was going to be on pole comfortably but ran off the track and in the race he dropped to 14th at one point and was held up for ages by Villeneuve but once in clear air was the fastest man on track. I admit though RB was very quick this weekend and deserve the win and i suppose fastest lap tells us something as well, my comment on him NEVER bejng quicker was a bit brash but most of the GPS Barrichello won were due to problems wih MS. Such as all his wins in 2002! |

Anyone can say what they like about Button (and believe me, I do), but you can't deny that he did deserve to win that Hungarian race. 11 other drivers had the same tyres. And he IS a good driver when he puts his mind to it. When he stopped the moaning about the car, the results started to come. |

I really cannot be arsed to go check up Ribena race history, but I know for a fact that he was faster than Schu over MANY races, but had to slow to allow the boss past. |

If many is about 8 over 6 seasons, then your argument is seriously flawed. Rubens was shit last season, it has to be said. He's past it, I expect Button to wipe the floor with him this year. |

The point Rob made earlier is was simple. Button has dominated Ribena more that Schu did. Button is a quality driver who resoundingly beat the so-called top 2 drivers in 2004 when he had comparable equipment. Did I ever show you the pic of me and Jenson at the USGP? The old cow from Honda said I couldnt have a photo and Button stood up, over ruled here and posed with me for a nice snapshot.......what a guy! |

Yeah we must have heard you say that about 10 times...zzzzzz... Resoundingly beat the top 2 drivers in 2004? WTF Lets look at facts. Schu won 5 titles when Barrichello was his teammate. Because of engine rules and the fact that if you have such an advantage that you don't need to push any more, there were times when Rubens got near Schumacher. But to jump to a conclusion that Button has dominated Rubens more than Schu did...that's utter tripe. |

Then Rob made an invalid point because Shumi was always superior to Rubinho comfortably more so than Button. I feel you are trying to say Jenson Button is better than Michael Schumacher roflmao |

What has that got to do with anything? Better than cacking himself, which JB did a year earlier

Comparable equipment? A McLaren that spent most of its time parked at the side of the track - and when it was moving, it wasn't going very fast until the last couple of races? The Renault was on-and-off in terms of performance in 2004, whereas the BAR was consistently the second-best car. On those occasions where the Renault was good (e.g. France), Alonso was usually ahead of Button, but other times (e.g. Monza) he was not. |

I stand by my comment that Button should have won in 2004. He had a better car than Williams, Renault and Mclaren, who all managed to win a race. Thats where Button falls short. I don't see him as someone that can extract the maximum from a car. Whereas Alonso has shown, especially in the latter half of 2006, that he is just as good as Schumacher is/was at doing that. |
