If Button wins the WDC this year then fair play to him! Plainly the car would have to be extremely good, but I would quickly change my opinion of him. Although there is more chance that our local supermarkets are going to start selling rain coats made of toilet paper than the Honda/Button combo winning anything this year never mind the championship!!

well safc me old fruit, it is something we could argue until the cows come home, but its back to the old team orders again.

Lets change tack a little here and let me ask you what Button would have to do to win you over. If he won the WDC this year would you put it down to a better car?

Or would y'all eat crow?

I bet it tastes like chicken!

Please dont change the subject dude, can you give me the many examples of team orders at ferrari?

youre playing the give me examples card again. If there is an internet resourse service which is free and gives you full reports including lap by lap breakdown/comentary of a race let me know , I's sure love to delve into their archives.

95% of my argument are based on memory.

I had large collection of books back in the UK i could have referenced, but they are still in the UK.

I dont need to have links to resources to qualify my argument that Rubens had to give up races he would have won, in order to allow michael to win. To suggest different is to show your desperation to get a point over.

If debates with you are going to consist of 'give me a link for that', then I dont think there is much point. If i did that with everyone here, then we'd all spend out time on google when we could be chatting.

In other words it aint going to happen today, and it will never happen during the week as I post from work, and dont have the time.

That was predicted to be the surprise invention of the year, wasn't it?

No i just like examples to have the FULL TRUTH in them and if you wont give me any examples its says that you have just made them up.

And no i dont have a particular site no, i just have good knowledge and study the races and stats so i can make valid points in debates which doesnt involve drifting into dream land.

DC you are getting personal, i am not dreaming....and I dont believe you knew that RB had 11 Ferrari poles of the top of your head......

I say something, youre checking my facts, end of.

And on that note, this will be my last post in this thread tonight.

till tomorrow.

Well, Mr. The Saint, you have had a bunch of factual errors today and I am somewhat disappointed. You were the first to greet me as a new member, and I'd like to say thank you. Also, we both live in North America so we must "represent".

I find this topic somewhat redundant, but I have enjoyed the spirit of the match. Thanks to everyone for proving themselves "knowlegable", sort of.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I can spell, but I cannot type.

So the summaty of this debate is that as follows:

1. Rubino will win the WDC in the absence of team orders.
2. Button will win because he is English.
3. Kimi will win because his car will not break.
4. Alsono will win because he already has.
5. Massa will win.
6. Weber and Coulthard will will because of Newey

And bridgestone will win with horrible, hard, slow pneus.

And, we will have a great season.

Im not geting personal no. im not going checking my facts no, because i know Barrichello only had one previous pole before his time at Ferrari which was in Belgium 94 for Jordan. so 12-1=11 :D
