Taupo Race

Hmmmm.
While fairly pleased with the end result, (go Jonny! <clap>) I was really disappointed with the total lack of passing opportunities in Taupo today :(

Basically qualifying was pretty much the only thing which really counted, in the top placings anyway, and very little passing was seen on the track.

With such a narrow track, and short start/finish line surely overtaking opportunies on the corners needed to be considered, especially when significant money had been spent to upgrade and redesign the track in order to attract events such as A1 to NZ <please>

Dunno why, but an error comes up stoping me from posting in this forum when I am logged in, but allows me to post as a guest....strange WTF

Even though there wasn't much overtaking, the feature race was still pretty exciting. If you take Germany out of the equation it was really close racing up front

I enjoyed the race too, but I guess I was just disappointed as the track has just finished being extensively renovated, and there pretty much was nowhere that you could even attempt to pass without the driver in front making errors.
