An Attack On McLaren

Rubens has been getting some (pretty justified) criticism recently so I thought I would draw attention to these comments by his burger munching friend.
Apparently despite over a year with Mclaren last weekend was the first time he was really comfortable with the car!

Since he spun on the warm-up lap then overtook some people before just failing to hit the wall on the main straight and conking out I can't say I really noticed anything different.
<clap>

And according to Ron McLaren have a "significantly lower points deficit than this time last year".
And its true after 3 rounds Kimi is actually 5 points closer to Alonso in the Drivers Championship.
But McLaren are 2 points futher behind Renault than this time last year. <dunce>

Not that Ron would set out to mislead people you understand...

McLaren won't win the constructors' championship while Montoya is there. So that's justified :)

And RD IS right regarding Raikkonen's points gap to Alonso. Their car is at least reliable so far, and they are getting quicker.

And we all know that RD always talks crap! <clap>

They have been pretty reliable haven't they?
I hadn't actually noticed to be honest.
Must have been distracted by people parking Ferrari's in various walls and gravel traps.

I'm off to Imola so the odds are I could see a couple Merc's expiring!
<grrr> <grrr>

<dance>

Won't stop Alonso winning of course.... :)

But if you remember (which I didn't I had to look it up) Kimi didn't have a retirement until Imola last year, and JPM didn't have an actual legit retirement until France, so don't worry. There is plenty of time for Merc to f-it up <wave>

Which sums up perfectly who's to blame for McLaren's reliability problems. Mercedes!

I never understand why McLaren always get the blame from F1 followers. If they made their own engines, then yes.

I never blamed McLaren for their engines going kablamo. Just like I never blamed Williams for the BMW engines beine able to do only a handful of laps.

No you didn't, but the general opinion is that McLaren the team are always to blame. They're not. They are sometimes obviously, but they can do little about an unreliable engine.

That may have more to do with the fact that RD is the chief than anything else.

It would be good if he was slightly less of a bad loser, but at least he admits to being a sore loser.

He looks sore. Period.
Irrespective of whether he's winning or losing. Only varies in degrees.
