With the disparity between Jenson and Ruben's results, I have heard people say that Jenson is getting results that the Honda should not really be able to achieve and Rubens is actually showing where the car should really be in the standings. What do you think then?

Button isn't flattering the car. It is fast when the tyres have warmed, but when the tyres aren't warm the car seems to handle dreadfully. Either that or Button can't handle the car :)

Need another line in the poll Jenson is flattering the car AND Rubens is crap! :)

Jenson is making the car look better than it is in qualifying while Rubens is making it look worse than it is by his inability to drive it!

Jensons finishing position before his car exploded would be about right, and possibly where Taku would have qualified it?

Anyway, watching Jenson going backwards I'm getting a distinct sense of history repeating itself from BAR last season.

Instead of the drivers perhaps we should start looking at Nick Fry? <dunce>

To be honest i dont think it is either, rubens has a very different driving style to jenson (mr smooth) button, and the fact that the car has been designed around button and his driving style isnt helping rubens.

He said it himself, at ferrari all he had to do was floor the throtle and the traction was there, in this car he has to feed the power in, this means changing driving styles he has developed over the las five years which must take time.

I think Rubens is crap is probably the more correct option, Button is doing a good job but once Rubens gets his act together which he will eventually we will see a different side to things. Rubens will eventually be competing and beating JB, I just hope the media and the team give him time. We saw it with JV last year but he recovered and is now matching Heidfeld and who would have thought that possible this time last year.

How can anyone possibly say Button is flattering the car? It has good pace, and Button is showing that during races, it isn't anywhere near as impressive.

the 1st thread i look at describes my favourite driver as crap! <grrr>

i want a refund!!! :)

i don't think jenson is really flattering the car.
he still travels backwards during a race faster than any other driver in f1 history! <clap>

but i must admit to being a bit worried about rubens!

i expected jenson to have an edge in qualy and rubens to hopefully get the better of him in races.
well i was half right!!

rubens needs to have confidence in his equipment to drive it - he's not like schumi or alesi or these guys that can throw cars around and drive round problems (or not in schumi's case last weekend).

and when things aren't going right it STILL affects his confidence even after all these years imo.
but hopefully they can get something sorted out SOON.

i would say nurburgring is an important race.
its a track he's gone well on,where he has beaten shumi in identical equipment.
if he's not close to jenson then??? please

Barrichello isn't crap, he just needs to adjust to a new car. His performances have been a lot poorer than they should be though, if it continues for much longer he may not have much of a future at Honda.

I spotted this when I was bored in work (as usual).

You will see it makes Kimi and Fernando look like they are in a different class
<bow>

But also Rubens fastest lap is actually quicker than JB's.

So maybe there is some hope?? <huh>
