<grrr>
Here we go again.
Quite frankly, this is no different then the Michelin tire width issue from 03. Michelin tires were fine during pre use inspection, but then got wider once they had been used for a few laps (allegedly) The FIA said they were going to check the width of the tires after they were used, and everyone was up in arms about how Ferrari were behind this and that the FIA was just out to make sure Ferrari wins.

Well now the shoe is on the other foot. Ferrari are being accused of bending the rules, and they are modifying their car to be within correct limits because the FIA are presumably going to test wings differently now.

I don't see where the problems are, except I don't see a hue and cry about the FIA screwing over Ferrari, like there was in 03 saying the FIA was hurting Williams and McLaren.

Any fair minded fan would have accepted what happened in 03 as part of the rules, and will accept what is happening to Ferrari now (as I do).

I simply fail to see how Ferrari come off looking bad this time.

I just don't like the way they claim they have changed their wing because the new design gives them better performance. Whats wrong with saying they did it because they were told to?

Ask Michelin why they didn't in 03. Or why anything happens in F1. All politics. I'll admit Ferrari does play politics, but then again 10 other teams do as well.

I can't really remember what happened. All I know is that Ferrari complained at a time when the championship depended on it!

Absolutely right Rob. It's a business and as soon as the fans recognise this and accept it the better. F1 is and always has been full of politics. Even if it's as small as getting one machnic on your side rather than your team mates

It shouldn't cpg. But when you get something as big as F1 it was bound to go that way
As the commercial goes......................If you don't do politics. What do you do?

Yea, but what sport isn't at least some part politics? It's not just exclusive to F1.

The racing should be what f1 is about. Clearly its not. You hear more of the squabbling than you do of the racing.
