Paul Stoddart wants to reform Minardi for 2008.

Why can't the FIA be generous and allow every team that wishes to enter in 2008 to be on the grid?

It's what many of the fans want.

Oh, I forgot, what the fans want counts for nothing <doh>

The FIA doesn't recognise the fans. They are just therre to make the numbers up

Weren't Minardi farcical enough the first time around? Just imagine the state of the team if Stoddart started a new one from scratch! More to the point, as Red Bull Mk2 work out of Faenza and use (presumably) some/all of the old Minardi mechanics, how can they call it Minardi anyway?

it will be good to have stoddie back.
at last someone who speaks his mind rather than the coporate speech.

if more teams want to join can the current pit / paddock accomodate them?

Inder why the FIA got fans to answer that survey last year. Suzuka and Spa were two of the most popular tracks. Spa isn;t on this year and Suzuka may not be after this year.

F1 would be nothing without the fans, so you would think the FIA may take notice. When viewing figures are way lower and more people watch GP2, A1GP etc, they might notice.

Paul retained the Name of Minardi. He sold the team, but not the Name. He says he has the cars and the personnel to do it, and as cpg says, why not. I can remember Peirluigi Martini leading a GP in a Minardi. 1989 I think it was May have been '91. I'm old

please let this happen as I am a very big Minardi fan. (an honourary Aguri fan this year <cool> )

Furthermore the sport needs people like Stoddart to stand yup for the little guy and prevent F1 from turning into a completely manufacturer's conglomerate.

It would be great to have him plus Jordan back. I don't know why they're setting a 24 car limit, why can't they just say have as many cars as you want and the ones that don't qualify don't get on the grid? Seems simple enough and I know I am in favour of more teams.

Stoddy is what is good about professional Motorsport. He wants to be there and the sport needs him.

just read that bernie wnats 12 tems in F1.
with stoddy putting in his application as minardi that takes up the 12th place depending upon the fia to accept stoddy.

how then do you get more independent teams in f1 unless they buy out some of the exisitng teams, midland for example.
