about the front wing

"no bodywork or sprung parts are permitted in these areas"

so...if no sprung parts are allowed, are we going to see a ban for Ferrari, do you think?

Define 'sprung'. If the part is flexible, it is not necessarily sprung. That is basically what the whole grey area regarding wings is about at present.

for me, any part with a flexible connection to something is "sprung." If you look closely at the onboard footage it seems that there is a black, sphere where the wing part connects to the nose. This seems to increase in size as the car accelerates. For me, if that is rubber, or another flexible material then the wing is sprung.

seems strange that Ferrari should make it visible from an onboard shot though don't you think?

i have read another bit of the regulations

it basicly makes the area greyer

now i cant find it again but it says that

the only moving area of the wings should be the elements that can be turned up/down for handling/downforce

if ferraris wing is deemed not sprung this rule could be the next point for the other teams

Ferrari will then argue that the flexing is not in up/ down direction but lateral
It will get greyer. Unless FIA state what they mean very very clearly.
Thats unlikely.
I'm basically arguing with myself here. See!!!

Hang on - if McLaren and BMW also had illegal wings, what were they trying to do moaning at Ferrari? Unless I've missed something.

Seems to me a distinct pot-like voice is uttering racist anti-kettle remarks...

Two things spring to mind:

Complaining and hoping that the FIA wouldn't notice their own wings were seemignly dodgy.
Having had their wing declared iffy first, and trying to get the competition done too.....
