Well. I think his comment this last weekend said it all...

"I think he's managed to keep his clutch running."

Yeah right....the guys just gone backwards into a wall, with his hands off the steering wheel. His clutch paddles are on the wheel, so he can't have had the clutch in at the point of impact. Not to mention the confusion between engine and clutch.

makes you want to <grrr>

Give it another couple of races - and you'll be saying you miss hearing it ;-)

Ah, I thought I'd misquoted it slightly.... however, the cars have an anti-stall on them which whips the clutch in in such situations, don't they? They used to, if I recall correctly....

Lets not get too technical in this particular thread, just in case JA drops in somehow.
I recon someone has told the wanker to stop shouting GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
How many years have we had to put up with this excruciating pain, spoiling one of the greatest moments in a race.
Like we wouldn't know what was going on when all the lights have gone off and all the cars suddenly start moving, well most of them anyway.
I really cannot understand how in a world of very knowledgable and fanatical F1 followers we get lumbered with this complete moronic idiot.
I can only suspect that JA holds some compromising photos of the show's producer...
I do sincerely know just about everything there is to know about F1 at any given moment, apart from driving one. As I'm sure most people that frequent such forums do also.
Brundle at least has the driving to his credit but he does seem stuck in a bygone era. However he did get into my good books at least with his very deliberate noisy run in the Jaguar in central London back in 2004...

James Allen you are a wanker of the highest calibre and if ever there was a school prefect...

The best commentators remember that there is nothing wrong with shutting up. You don't need to be talking all of the time.

I think he tries too hard to be Murray Walker.

Tries and fails.

Fails badly.

Very very badly.

I agree Lord Tau. JA needed to find his own nitch and not try to be like Murray.

Walker wasn't a good commentator (way too many mistakes), but he still acted funny and that drew people to him.

JA probably didn't have a chance (people who follow legends rarely do), but he should have tried to make it his own.
