Sorry, I HAD to start this thread!

Today I was astonished that neither Martin Brundle or James Allen could distinguish between the McLaren and Midland cars! Yes they have a similar colour scheme but the design of the cars is enough to say which is which!

Red rear wing vs white rear wing for a start.

Anyone else lose count of the time James Allen told us about Alonso having too much fuel?

Some of his comments and lack of awareness are comical.

I get a bit annoyed about how often James recaps the race...or clarifies what tyres are...or how rear wings work...

I know they have to appeal to the casual viewer, but it really does get repetitive.

I can't imagine how nuts James Allen is going to go if Jenson Butthead ever gets round to winning a race.

He'll probably wet himself or something.

<MALAYSIAN GP SPOILER>

Also, I know ITV don't have any control of the pictures they recieve, but if I had £1 for everytime they showed a bloody replay of Rosberg's car exploding, I could retire!!!

Good points: terrestrial coverage, lack of Ted Crevice and Tony Jardine this year.
Bad points: adverts (in general), badly timed adverts, too many adverts, lack of decent research (eg Rubens is *not* the most winless driver, it's Andrea de Cesaris), stupidly easy competitions that cost a fortune to enter, James Allen still there, far too much waffle before the race - is an entire hour really necessary??

That's about all he knows about cars thought. Pity he can't work out simple things like the clutch doesn't need to be kept 'running' <doh>

Actually the SpeedTV guys were saying the same thing about fuel. It was probably something said or commented about during some interviews that misled the commentators.

Everyone thought FA was on a 1-stop strategy.

No, what ITV meant is that Barrichello is the driver that was in the most races before winning.

Ted Kravitz is still there! It's Jim Rosenthal that has gone.

Sunderland's season should be reserved for that.

Is he? I tend to glaze over on the pre-race bits because none of them really know what they're talking about apart from Brundle. All the generic ITV sport commentators do is regurgitate what the researchers have told them.....
