02nd April - Italy, Monza
30th April - France, Magny-Cours
21st May - Great Britain, Brands Hatch
04th June - Germany, Oschersleben
02nd July - Brazil, Curitiba,
30th July - Mexico, Puebla-Amozoc
03rd September - Czech Republic, Brno
24th September - Turkey, Istanbul

How can you call it a WORLD touring car championship if only one race is outside of Europe <erm>

(and don't go off about World Series - that dates back to 1905... and you don't change names like that).

I agree with you Tim ...there should be more races in the series ...although there are 2 outside Europe ...

...unless they've moved Mexico or Brazil recently <erm>

Any chance of highlights still being on Channel 4? I like touring cars.

<doh> I missed Mexico.
but Turkey is going to be part of the EU someday, so It's really Europe for this.

The F1 race was described as being a European race I think. Not that you would expect ITV to use correct information of course...

Thought Valencia is in Spain?

The problem with a world touring car championship is that there are very few touring cars which are sold all around the world.

<shoots himself in foot>

Except for the BMW, The Focus (although the american version is a bit different), and the Alfa (?)

The Chevrolet is sold mostly in europe (despite having an American name, I somehow think the Lacetti is a bit different from the typical American Chevy as seen in Nascar). The Seat is sold almost exclusivly in Europe

and as for the Chinese and Lada entry (if they ever happen)...

This makes it very hard to have a world championship.
