Finally
What is the possible justification for putting a man who is awaiting trial, and presumed innocent, into solitary confinement?

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Didn't Mueller cobble up something about him trying to influence witnesses? If so, then I can see putting him in jail.

I cannot fathom why Mueller would put the man in solitary, unless he was trying to break him.

There is evidence in Mueller's past, that he has a very nasty streak of meaness ingrained in his nature.

Ask Kevin Mitnick.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

I've heard it said that the US justice department is rather well known for being a tad over-zealous in it's use of imprisonment. Typically this is known in some circles as being pro-law and order.

Still, at least they haven't waterboarded him yet.

Leave him in there long enough and he'll choose the waterboarding...

The theory is that there are a whole lot of Russians who would like to see him dead.

Keeping him out of the general prison population may be the only thing keeping him alive.
