Unfortunately the temperature just dropped from 50 to 49 so I will be unable to work on sealing my deck since the minimum temperature for application is 50 F.

And with wind gusts in the high 20's there will be little or no outdoor work today.

I actually started to seal the deck yesterday. The directions say the temperature should be over 50 for 48 hours after application. Close enough.

It is time for warmer weather.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Yeah, it is. We were just talking about our deck. I cleaned and sealed it with oil stain last year and it looked like crap when it was new. I think we are going to have to solid color stain it like the house.

We're finally getting warmer temps. 66 today and 76 tomorrow. Hummers will be here soon.

You deserve a day off, Copper. The deck will wait for you. 😊

I saw our first hummer Friday. Big sucker, he was.

We thought the baby wrens had gotten themselves eaten this morning, but no - they are just too hard to see in the nest now that they are getting downy coats. Unless they open their pink mouths to get fed you can't see them. Put out a plate of mealworms for them this morning.

BUT...even MORE rare, we had a D'Oh sighting yesterday. First one of the year!

Strong flier to be one of the first.

Had a reported sighting on the border by the Mississippi near here on Friday. That's a good sign that we'll have our first soon. We're about 40 miles from the river.
