Henry Miller on hearing Scriabin: "It was like a bath of ice, cocaine and rainbows."
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

HOLY CARP!!!
I never knew cocaine. As drugs go, this is because I did not have the opportunity. Due to my ancestors.
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

Do you have a date for that quote? Scriabin is really three different composers: early, middle and late Scriabin.

That quote fits well for his late work, in my opinion. For instance, it's a perfect match for the white mass sonata.

It’s in a book published in the 50s but he’s describing his early life. But he was in his early 20s when Scriabin died if that tells you anything.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.
