Cheers
Probably not heartbreaking unless you’re a creditor. The brand isn’t going to disappear.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

In my young guitar years, I had (still do) a guild acoustic and my brother has a Gibson acoustic. I was mildly jealous but what I really craved was a Les Paul, although my electric rock and roll skills were not exactly Duane allman levels.

So I really do hope the brand continues.

Guitar Center is also 1 billion in debt and not looking too healthy. They are Gibson's largest dealer.

There was an article the other day by the Fender CEO or something saying they are doing great and Gibson’s problems are their own fault. Lemme see if I can find it.

Henry J had too many loans coming due at one time he couldn't pay. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Gibson basically took advantage of their name for far too long, charging way too much for their inferior products. Their acoustics, while iconic (not quite as iconic as Martin) are very inconsistent in both build and sound quality.

There are so many guitars on the market, that are so much better than a Gibson.
