Mueller firing? There's a Cincinnati protest for that.

It hasn't happened. President Donald Trump has said he has no plans to do it.

But if Trump does fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller - the man leading the investigation into possible Russian interference in the 2016 election - activists in Cincinnati have a protest planned.

Organized by MoveOn.org, the protest will be held at Fountain Square.

When is a little more tricky, according to a MoveOn press release.

If Mueller is fired before 2 p.m., the protest will be at 5 p.m. If Mueller is fired after 2 p.m., the protest will be held at noon the following day.

The release notes that Cincinnati City Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld has agreed to speak at any protest.

More information here.

In an interview with The New York Times Thursday, Trump said he thinks Mueller will treat him fairly.

"I think that Bob Mueller will be fair, and everybody knows that there was no collusion."

He said earlier this month he's not planning to fire Mueller.

Mueller's investigation has resulted in guilty pleas by former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos for lying to the FBI. Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his deputy Rick Gates have been indicted for their activities lobbying for foreign governments, including Ukraine.

Weathermen used to be the laughing stock for prognosticating but these days they beat the media hands down.
